Someone who I like and respect very much has a sponsored son. He is an exiled Tibetan Buddhist monk and she loves him very dearly. She has even just met him after being his sponsor mother for a long time.
I have wanted to sponsor someone for ages, and when I found out that for only $15-$25 a month you may sponsor a special person like the son my friend has, I was totally sold, immediately. I have been thinking a lot about how we are all from the same source, and what you do for one person you do for everyone including yourself. I have also realised that there are no selfish acts when it comes to say spending a little money on yourself....so next time you feel guilty for having a massage/facial/new lipstick/dinner out....remember that by doing all of these things that not only are you raising your own seretonin levels, but you are providing work and positive energies for those from whom you purchase or utilise.
As long as none are harmed, all is well with the world !
